Established in 1811 by the well-know William Telfair family of Savannah, Belfair was a working plantation/farm until the 1970’s. Modern development of the land began in 1995.

Belfair is located in Bluffton, South Carolina on a 1,100 acre plantation, graced with century-old oaks draped in Spanish moss. As you enter Belfair, The Avenue of The Oaks greets and welcome you home. An abundance of wildlife dances between the palmettos and native grasses.

Residents enjoy breathtaking views of the golden salt marshes to the Colleton River. Nature lovers enjoy spying on the native wood storks of Hidden Lake—the largest conservancy of these rare birds in the Southeast. Residents enjoy the convenience of jumping into their golf carts and heading to the course for a round of golf or the clubhouse for dinner.
